
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 8) –The Philippines garnered its 15th gold medal in the 32nd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games after Fernando Casares won the men’s individual triathlon event.
Casares bested Indonesia’s Rashif Amila Yaqin who settled for silver, while Filipino athlete Andrew Remolino got the bronze.
Meanwhile, Kim Mangrobang settled for silver in the women’s individual triathlon event. She was defeated by Margot Garabedian, who played for Cambodia.
On Sunday, Mangrobang won gold in the women’s individual duathlon.
