74 more Filipinos repatriated from Sudan — OWWA

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 4) — Seventy-four more Filipinos from war-torn Sudan are back in the country, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said Thursday.

They arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 on Thursday from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and were accompanied by OWWA Administrator Arnell Ignacio.

Senator Raffy Tulfo, chairman of the Senate Committee on Migrant Workers, and officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Migrant Workers, and the OWWA were on hand to welcome the latest batch of evacuees.

A total number of 182 Filipinos have been repatriated from Sudan.

The 74 arrivals were part of a group of 152 Filipinos scheduled for repatriation this week.
