Palace eyes holding concert series every 3 months

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 21) – Malacañang is planning to hold a concert series every three months showcasing Filipino talents in the performing arts, Cris Villonco, creative consultant of “Konsyerto sa Palasyo,” said Friday.

“We are planning every three months, mag-showcase po. So that means every three months may new program, new show, new set of artists, and sana din po another part ng grounds ng Malacañang,” Villonco said during the Laging Handa briefing.

Malacañang will hold its first “Konsyerto sa Palasyo” on April 22. The concert series is intended to honor the service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

“We will have 400 members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines watching together with the president and the first lady doon po sa [in the] Malacañang grounds,” Villonco said.

Performing artists from Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Cavite, Quezon and Ilocos are included in the lineup for tomorrow’s show, Villonco said.

The public can also watch the concert series via live stream.
