Fuel price hike seen next week

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 9) – Fuel prices are expected to go up by more than ₱1 next week, Unioil Petroleum Philippines said Sunday.

In its advisory, Unioil said diesel prices will increase by ₱1.50 to ₱1.70 per liter while gasoline prices are expected to increase by ₱2.60 to ₱2.80 per liter.

The adjustment is expected to take effect on April 11 to 17.

On Tuesday, per-liter prices of gasoline and diesel went up by ₱1.40 and 50 centavos, respectively.

As of April 4, the Department of Energy’s oil price monitoring showed a year-to-date net decrease for local diesel prices (₱3.65 per liter) and a net increase for gasoline (₱6.05 per liter).
