
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 7) — The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council on Friday reported four vehicular accidents and a food poisoning incident during the Holy Week.
Three of the vehicular accidents were recorded in Ilocos Sur.
One incident happened in Santa Lucia town, involving a big bike and a “kurong-kurong” or motorcycle with a sidecar. The victims suffered minor scratches.
Another incident was reported in Libtong town between a motorcycle and a car, resulting in a victim suffering abrasions and back pain.
In Vigan, a kalesa with tourists on board broke down due to a damaged wheel on April 5.
Meanwhile, in Bukidnon province, a vehicular accident was reported last April 4, where a 43-year-old male was injured.
In Misamis Occidental, a food poisoning incident involving students was reported on April 3.
According to the report, six students experienced abdominal pain after eating sunflower seeds.
They were taken to a hospital for medical treatment and were later discharged.
