Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 23) — Fresh from her Miami Open stint, Filipino tennis star Alex Eala made a side trip to an NBA game, where she met Filipino American coach Erik Spoelstra of the Heat backstage.
The two were seen catching up in a clip shared by the Miami Heat’s official social media account on Thursday.
Eala and Spoelstra also took a photograph with big man Bam Adebayo after the Heat’s 127-120 win over the New York Knicks.

Eala earlier bowed out in the first round of the Miami Open, falling to Romania’s Irina-Camelia Begu in straight sets.
Meanwhile, the Heat currently stands at 7th spot in the NBA Eastern Conference with a 40-34 win-loss slate.
