Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 23) — NBA veteran Carmelo Anthony is in the Philippines.
The basketball star was spotted roaming around Manila, including at the Luneta Park, as seen on photos shared by the National Parks Development Committee on Thursday.
Rumors that Anthony has been tapped as an ambassador for the FIBA World Cup — which will be co-hosted by the Philippines — have popped up on social media overnight.
FIBA, however, has yet to make an official confirmation on the matter.
A 10-time NBA All-Star, Anthony last played for the Los Angeles Lakers.
