
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 27) — The Philippine embassy in Israel has warned Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to be vigilant amid the lethal raid in West Bank, Israel that killed and wounded several Palestinians.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, OFWs were reminded to avoid several areas until Jan. 28.
In an exchange with CNN Philippines, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said there are no known Filipino casualties in the recent raid in Israel.
These include the West Bank, areas in Jerusalem, the Golan Heights and borders of Lebanon and Gala.
Citing the Palestinian Ministry Head, CNN International reported that Israeli forces killed 10 and wounded several Palestinians in a refugee camp in the West Bank of Jenin on Thursday.
According to the Israeli security forces, the raid was conducted to apprehend a “terror squad belonging to the Islamic Jihad terror organization,” which resulted in the killing of three “terrorists.”
The Philippine Embassy in Israel advised OFWs to avoid Israeli security forces in the conflict areas and to avoid taking any recordings.
It also posted emergency hotlines should OFWs need help.
Meanwhile, OFWs were urged to avoid going to crowded places and to be cautious when riding public transportation. They were also reminded to follow the orders of Israeli security forces and the Home Front Command.
“The Philippine Embassy in Amman and in Tel Aviv have been closely monitoring the security situation and the welfare of Filipinos in Gaza and southern Israel,” it said
According to DFA, there are an estimated 29,000 Filipinos in Israel, while there are about 100 Filipinos in Gaza, Palestine.
