
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 19) – Former Presidential Management Staff (PMS) Chief Maria Zenaida Benedicto-Angping has been nominated as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the French Republic, the Commission of Appointments (CA) reported.
She was the PMS chief from June 30, 2022 until Dec. 2022. She also represented the 3rd legislative district of Manila from 2007 to 2016.
Angping earlier requested for some “time off” from her Cabinet seat. The post is currently vacant.

Also nominated as the country’s envoys were Kira Azucena as Ambassador to New Zealand, and Bienvenido Tejano as Ambassador to Papua New Guinea.
