Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 24) — South Korean actress Son Ye-Jin, who starred in the hit drama series “Crash Landing on You” (CLOY) with now-husband Hyun Bin, shared on Christmas eve a glimpse of their newborn son.
This was the first time Son Ye-Jin posted on social media a photo of their child, whom she gave birth to on Nov. 27.
The Instagram post — also her first in nearly two months — showed only the baby’s feet resting on a hand.
The actress revealed that the child was born earlier than expected. Shortly after she gave birth, her agency had said both mother and son were in good health.
Son Ye-Jin also penned a message of gratitude for those who gave her support during her pregnancy, including her fans.
“There are so many people to be thankful for,” she said in Korean. “I will stay healthy and well. I hope you all are happy too.”
It was also a holiday — New Year’s Day in 2021 — when the respective agencies of the CLOY couple confirmed that they have turned their onscreen romance into a real-life relationship.
They announced their engagement in February this year, and tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony in late March.
Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin starred in the 2018 film “The Negotiation,” although the two shared in past interviews that they were mostly filmed in separate locations.
They reunited in 2019 for CLOY, where Hyun Bin played Captain Ri Jeong-hyeok, while Son Ye-Jin was the wealthy business heiress Yoon Se-ri who crash-landed in North Korea’s side of the demilitarized zone.
