
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 8) — Majority of Filipinos say high commodity prices is an urgent national concern that the government needs to address, according to a fourth quarter OCTA Research survey, results of which were released Thursday.
Improving salaries and access to food security were also among the top three concerns of adult Filipinos.
According to the trend, the concern for managing inflation rose from 52% in March to 57% in October.

From being considered as the most urgent national concern in 2021 with 43%, the concern for controlling the spread of COVID-19 dropped to only 9%.
Meanwhile, health and wellness, secure livelihood and good education, respectively, topped the urgent personal concerns of adult Filipinos.
OCTA said the concern for a secure livelihood decreased by 17% because of the possibility of the expansion of the economy that created more job opportunities.

The survey was conducted last October, with 1,200 respondents and a ±3% margin of error.
