
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 28) — The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 8,032 new COVID-19 cases during the week of Nov. 21 to 27.
The latest tally reflected a 0.3% increase from the previous week, the DOH said in its weekly bulletin. The daily average number of cases was 1,147.
Of the new cases, the DOH said five had severe and critical infections.
A total of 599 patients with severe and critical conditions are in hospitals, representing 9.3% of the total COVID-19 admissions in the country.
Health officials also verified 120 deaths due to the disease, including 17 that occurred on Nov. 14-27.
The DOH said more than 73 million individuals or 94.23% of the target population have been vaccinated against COVID-19 while 20 million individuals have already received their booster shots.
Meanwhile, 6.9 million senior citizens or 79.35% of the target A2 population have already received their primary dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
