Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 29) — Singer-actress Sarah Geronimo on Saturday wrote a heartfelt apology to her family after more than two years since tying the knot with Matteo Guidicelli.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, the “Tala” singer posted a bible verse followed by a letter to her family and fans.
Patawad po,” Geronimo said.
[Translation: I also want to take this chance to apologize to my family who was hurt by my decisions in life. I’m sorry.]
[Translation: To my parents, I’m very thankful for the life that you gave me and my siblings […] I love you so much, dad and mom. I miss and think about you everyday.]
Geronimo and Guidicelli’s wedding in 2020 was marked with controversy after the latter allegedly punched a bodyguard upon learning that his mother-in-law, Divine, arrived unexpectedly in the ceremonies. The Filipino-Italian actor denied the allegation later on.
Geronimo recently made her comeback after a two-year hiatus with her new single. “Dati-Dati.”
The 34-year-old singer said the situation that she and her family had experienced made her realize that there is no perfect life or love.
[Translation: As a daughter and sister, for me, to be with you in love and in peace is the true meaning of success and happiness.]
