(CNN Philippines, October 24) — After failing to land a spot in the NBA, Remy Martin is taking his talents to the G League.
The Filipino American guard was selected in the second round of the G League Draft by the Cleveland Charge, the G-League affiliate of NBA team Cleveland Cavaliers.
The 24-year-old Martin was left undrafted in the 2022 NBA Rookie Draft after spending his college years with Arizona State University and University of Kansas.
He was part of the 2022 NCAA Division I champion squad Kansas where he averaged 8.4 points, three rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 29 outings.
Martin will join top G League pick Sam Merrill and will team up with 7-foot-5 Tacko Fall, and Kyle Guy under coach Mike Gerrity.
Martin traces his roots to Pampanga where the family of his mother, Mary Ann Macaspac, hails from.
