
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 26) — President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has ordered the suspension of classes in public schools and work in government on Monday, Sept. 26, in areas affected by the typhoon.
The following local government units have also announced the suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools on Monday:
Metro Manila
Bicol
Calabarzon
Central Luzon
Cordillera Administrative Region
Baguio City – preschool to senior high school only
Ilocos Region
In its 11 p.m. bulletin released Sunday evening, the state weather bureau said Signal No. 4 was hoisted over the central and southern portion of Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, the northern and central portion of Zambales, and the southern portion of Pangasinan.
Karding was classified as a super typhoon early Sunday but was downgraded into a typhoon after it made its second landfall.
It is expected to leave the country’s weather monitoring area Monday evening.
Karding is the 11th tropical cyclone to enter the country this year.
