Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 7) — A passenger on a Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight from Manila to Hong Kong was reported to have monkeypox, the flag carrier said in a statement on Wednesday.
Flight PR300 left last Monday, Sept. 5, according to PAL.
The airline said it has already coordinated and shared relevant information with the Department of Health (DOH) and health authorities in Hong Kong.
PAL added that those who were in close proximity to the affected traveler are being notified, while all passengers were advised to monitor their health and seek medical attention if they experience symptoms.
The DOH has so far reported four monkeypox cases. Two have already recovered.
