Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 24) – All classes in public schools in Metro Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Zambales, and Bataan remain suspended on Wednesday, Aug. 24, due to Severe Tropical Storm Florita.

In a statement on Tuesday, Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles said the presidential announcement came following the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council as Florita’s heavy rains posed possible risks to the public.
