Oil firms to roll back prices anew this week

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 15) — Fuel companies will be reducing rates for their products again this week, according to their announcements on Monday.

Effective 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Caltex, Cleanfuel, Petro Gazz, Phoenix, PTT Philippines, Seaoil, Total, and Unioil will be slashing per-liter prices of gasoline by ₱0.10 and diesel by ₱1.05.

Caltex, Flying V, and Seaoil will also cut kerosene rates by ₱0.45 per liter.

As of Aug. 9, oil firms have brought down per-liter prices of gasoline by ₱17.55, diesel by ₱30.15, and kerosene by ₱24.75 since the start of 2022, according to the Department of Energy’s oil monitor.
