
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 2)— The wake of former president Fidel V. Ramos will officially start on Thursday at the Heritage Park in Taguig, his family announced.
In a statement on Tuesday, Ramos’ family said there will be designated dates and times for specific sectors to help manage the flow of visitors and “better adhere to COVID-19 precautions.”

The inurnment, meanwhile, will take place on August 9 at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
Ramos — popularly called FVR — was the 12th president from 1992 to 1998. A 10-day national period of mourning was declared following his death.
