
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 28) — Several groups have launched donation drives to help victims of the magnitude 7 quake that struck Abra on Wednesday.
Among these are government and non-government organizations, a religious group, and university-based disaster relief programs, which have pledged to help by collecting monetary and in-kind donations:

In its latest bulletin on Monday, August 1, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said nine of the casualties have been confirmed, while one is for validation. At least 376 people were also confirmed to have sustained injuries.
Infrastructures, houses and heritage houses in Vigan, as well as historic sites in Ilocos Sur were not spared by the tremor.
