Marcos names officials to lead DOTr attached agencies

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 20) — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Wednesday said President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. has named officials who will collectively lead five of the department’s attached agencies.

The president has designated Cesar Chiong as the acting general manager of the Manila International Airport Authority.

Both Edgardo Diaz and Manuel Antonio Tamayo were appointed as deputy director generals of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, with the latter also serving as acting director general after Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista designated him in the said position.

Carmelo Arcilla, on the other hand, will continue to head the Civil Aeronautics Board as its executive director.

The Office for Transportation Security (OTS) and the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) will be under the leadership of new administrators, Ma. O Ranada Aplasca and Hernani Nieves Fabia, respectively.

Their appointment letters were signed by Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez, the DOTr said.
