Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 14) – After his failed bid to get drafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, Filipino basketball star Kai Sotto is taking a major step to further advance his budding cage career.
Sotto announced in his social media account on Wednesday that he has signed up with renowned sports agency Wasserman.
The Los Angeles-based Wasserman is known for handling the careers of former NBA Most Valuable Player awardees Russell Westbrook and Derrick Rose, Detroit Pistons rookie Jalen Duren, and four-time champion Klay Thompson.
Wasserman is also taking care of other high-profile athletes like United States women’s football team star Megan Rapinoe and Olympic swimming champion Katie Ledecky.
The towering 20-year-old Sotto was previously under the guidance of player agent Joel Bell who was instrumental in landing him a spot in the National Basketball League in Australia with the Adelaide 36ers.
