Fil-Am Sommelier wins award for his essay on the wine industry

A Filipino-American Sommelier is making waves in the international wine industry. Miguel De Leon recently won the James Beard Foundation Journalism Award for his essay revealing his experience as a wine writer. In a white race-dominated industry, the James Beard Foundation Awards is considered the Oscars’ of the food industry.
