Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 2) — Tropical Storm Domeng has accelerated north northwestward and is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the state weather bureau said.
In its 11 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Domeng was estimated at 990 km east northeast of extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 105 kph.
Under the influence of Tropical Storm Domeng, Typhoon Chaba, and the prevailing southwest monsoon, PAGASA said a gale warning remains in effect over the western seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon.
Moreover, outside the PAR, Domeng is forecast to move northwestward and will pass very close or over the Ryukyu Islands tonight before turning north northwestward on Sunday as it moves over the East China Sea.
