
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 28) — The low-pressure area (LPA) inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has developed into a Tropical Depression Tuesday night, the state weather bureau said.
In a social media post, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the weather system west of Zambales had become a Tropical Depression, and was named Caloy, at 8 p.m.
Caloy is the third tropical cyclone to enter the country this year.
PAGASA has yet to issue a weather bulletin on Caloy.
