
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 17) — Dito Telecommunity announced Friday that it will be offering commercial services to 17 more cities and towns this June.
In a press release, the third telco player said it will expand its coverage to the following cities and towns “later this month”:
– Banayoyo, Ilocos Sur
– City of Batac, Ilocos Sur
– Pasuquin, Ilocos Sur
– Sta. Catalina, Ilocos Sur
– Tiwi, Albay
– Buhi, Camarines Sur
– Goa, Camarines Sur
– Labo, Camarines Sur
– Juban, Sorsogon
– Pilar, Sorsogon
– Manapla, Negros Occidental
– Santa Fe, Leyte
– Tabontabon, Leyte
– Tunga, Leyte
– Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur
– Tubod, Lanao del Norte
– Magallanes, Agusan del Norte
The announcement comes as the Dennis Uy-led firm breached its 9-million subscriber mark on Independence Day, June 12.
“Hitting milestone after milestone, DITO is once again preparing for the yearly government audit and is confident of hitting 70% of the country’s population shortly before July 2022, allowing it to finally go head-to-head against the country’s two legacy MNOs (mobile network operators) in terms of presence,” said Adel Tamano, the company’s chief administrative officer.
