A memorable debut in the Southeast Asian Games in the books for rising weightlifting star Vanessa Sarno. Sarno captured her first gold medal in the regional meet in record fashion last May 21st. The 18-year-old Boholana topped the women’s 71kg division after lifting a new SEA Games high of 239kg. Her total includes 104 kilos in snatch, and 135 from her perfect run in the clean and jerk.
