
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 31)— Filipino tourists are allowed to fly to Jeju Island and Yangyang even without a visa beginning June 1, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea announced on Tuesday.
Here are the guidelines for travel to the two destinations, as noted by the Korean embassy in an advisory:
Jeju Island:
-Filipino tourists can book direct flights, stay in the island for up to 30 days.
-Tourists will not be allowed to travel to other regions outside Jeju.
Yangyang:
-Filipino tourists must book a group tour program arranged by a designated travel agency.
– Tourists will be allowed to stay up to 15 days, but can travel around the Gangwon Province and Seoul Metropolitan Area only.
-Tourists must travel back to the Philippines via the Yangyang International Airport.
The Korean embassy stressed that foreign visitors will still be subject to the country’s current health protocols.
