Robredo’s Bayanihan E-Konsulta to end on May 31

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 23) — The Bayanihan E-Konsulta program of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) will cease its operations next week, May 31.

This was announced in an advisory posted on its Facebook page Monday.

In a separate post, Robredo’s office said it would also suspend medical and burial assistance beginning June 1, as the OVP prepares for the transition to the incoming administration.

[Translation: We sincerely thank everyone who joined us in this initiative to deliver the necessary medical assistance to our countrymen during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.]

Despite the limited budget, the OVP launched the free teleconsultation service in April 2021 when the capital region was facing a surge in new infections.

Robredo previously urged medical professionals to join her telemedicine program.

[Translation: To all our volunteer doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals, as well as to the non-medical volunteers who gave their time and skills to make our program a success, thank you very much.]
