DOH confirms local transmission of new Omicron subvariant

Health officials have confirmed local transmission of a more transmissible Omicron subvariant in at least three areas. So far, BA.2.12.1 is neither a variant of concern nor interest. But this may just be the most infectious form of COVID-19 yet.
