Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 10) – Senatorial candidate Harry Roque hinted on Monday that he will return to the legal profession.
“God bless the Philippines! Back to my first love: law practice,” Roque said in a tweet.
Roque posted the message hours after the release of the partial and unofficial Senate race tally from the Commission on Elections’ transparency server.
The former presidential spokesperson is outside the Magic 12, as he is ranked 17th with 9,958,217 votes as of 1:27 a.m.
“Thanks to all who made our ‘magical’ run possible,” Roque added.
Roque also congratulated presidential bet Bongbong Marcos and vice presidential contender Sara Duterte, who both hold a wide lead in the partial, unofficial count.
Roque ran under the senatorial slate of Marcos and Duterte.
Before entering politics, Roque was a known human rights defender and law professor.
Thanks to all who made our “magical” run possible.
I am humbled by the support which we received and congratulate Apo Bongbong Marcos, Inday Sara Duterte, and all those who will be serving in the 19th and 20th Congresses of the Philippines in the Senate.
