Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 24) — Reelectionist Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto has asked his supporters to keep cool despite the light bulb issues during his campaign.
According to Sotto, local officials knew that he and his Giting ng Pasig team were coming to campaign and if there were problems about the lights in the venue, it should be communicated properly.
Baka naman may eksplanasyon,” Sotto said in a Facebook post on Saturday.

“Bigyan natin sila ng benefit of the doubt.
[Translation: Let us give them the benefit of the doubt. I will deploy an engineer on Monday to check the lights in the court and to find out if the local government could help.]
Sotto also said if politics was really the reason for the light bulb issues, the local government would not take revenge.
[Translation: The local government will be fair despite the difference in colors and beliefs. Politics in Pasig has changed a lot. We should continue going to the right direction.]
