Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 23) — A mix of pageant veterans and newbies will vie for the four crowns of Binibining Pilipinas 2022 pageant.
The official 40 candidates were announced on Friday during the final screening held at New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Among the hopefuls this year are Bb. Pilipinas 2021 1st runner-up Gabrielle Basiano and returnees Karen Laurrie Mendoza, Graziella Lehman, Jashmin Dimaculangan, Jane Darren Genobisa, and Francesca Taruc.
Another familiar name in pageantry, Miss Eco Teen International 2020 Roberta Tamondong, also made it to the list.
Television personalities Diana Mackey and Nicole Budol are also aiming for one of the crowns this year.

The ladies will battle it out to represent the country in the following pageants: Miss International, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Globe, and Miss Grand International.
Two of the 2021 queens — Cindy Obenita and Maureen Montagne — won the country’s second crowns in Miss Intercontinental and Miss Globe, respectively.
Meanwhile, Bb. Pilipinas International 2021 Hannah Arnold is expected to compete later this year after the 2021 edition of Miss International was postponed.
