
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 19) — A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck waters off Manay, Davao Oriental on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
The tectonic earthquake was recorded at 9:23 a.m. It hit 54 kilometers of Manay and had a depth of 49 km.
Intensity II was also recorded in Bansalan, Davao del Sur
Damage and aftershocks are expected, the Phivolcs added.
