
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 1) — The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) appointed a new deputy governor for corporate services sector who will oversee the management of the regulator’s resources.
Eduardo Bobier will be the new deputy governor, the agency said. He was former BSP comptrollership, which maintains the accounting records of the bank.
“In this role, Deputy Governor Bobier will ensure the prudent and effective management of the BSP’s resources in support of its core function,” said the BSP in a statement on Friday.
On the BSP website, it stated that Bobier was appointed to the post as early as March 1.
Bobier also served as one of the heads of the then-Treasury Department, which is now the Financial Markets. He was also chairman of the BSP’s Budget Committee before he became Assistant Governor of the Comptrollership Sub-sector last year.
