Villar-led AllDay reports 80% spike in earnings in 2021

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 23) — AllDay Supermarket posted a strong performance in 2021 with its earnings up 80% year-on-year, according to its disclosure with the local bourse on Wednesday.

The Manny Villar-led supermarket operator, which held its initial public offering last November, reported a net income of ₱349.9 million last year. Its sales, meanwhile, rose by 19% to ₱9.46 billion.

Villar, who serves as AllDay’s chairman, said the latest figures bode well for the company’s long-term prospects.

“AllDay’s distinct in-store experience, coupled with an increasingly efficient ecommerce model, has proved to truly resonate with our growing customer base of Filipinos who show an increasing preference for differentiated and experience-driven retail,” said the business tycoon and former senator.

He said the company will continue growing its business towards the goal of reaching 100 stores by 2026.

AllDay has 35 stores as of Jan. 26.
