Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 14) — A fire hit the Robinsons Magnolia mall in Quezon City on Monday afternoon, the Bureau of Fire Protection in the National Capital Region confirmed.
The fire started at the third floor of the department store and hit first alarm at 5:02pm, prompting four fire trucks to respond. Senior Inspector Jose Felipe Arreza declared the fire “under control” by 6:05 p.m.
Mall-goers and employees were earlier asked to evacuate the building.
The mall management said safety checks were immediately conducted after the fire was put out.
