Iloilo City eases to Alert Level 1

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 10) – Iloilo City is now under the lowest alert level status until March 15, the Palace announced on Thursday.

In a statement, acting presidential spokesperson Martin Andanar said Iloilo City passed the prescribed criteria for de-escalation to Alert Level 1 of the Inter-Agency Task Force’s (IATF) Sub-Technical Working Group on Data Analytics.

In its recent changes in the metrics for deciding the alert level status for a particular area, the IATF said provinces and cities may ease into Alert Level 1 for the following reasons: low to minimal risk classification, total bed utilization rate less than 50%, and 70% of target population (or 80% of total population) and 80% of target senior citizens fully vaccinated.

As of Thursday noon, the city recorded no new confirmed COVID-19 cases.
