Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 5)— Three beauty queens under the Miss World Philippines Organization (MWPO) hope to bring home a new set of crowns as they compete in different pageants this March and April.
Miss World Philippines Tracy Maureen Perez will fly back to Puerto Rico this month as she aims to clinch the Philippines’ second Miss World title after Megan Young’s victory in 2013.
The pageant’s 70th edition is scheduled on March 16 (March 17, 8 a.m., Manila time). It was earlier delayed due to coronavirus-related issues.
“I’ll just take it as a blessing that I’ll have more time to prepare,” Perez said.
CNN Philippines will air the much-anticipated pageant.
Meanwhile, Kathleen Paton will fly to Egypt for the Miss Eco pageant — which will name a new winner on March 16 (March 17, Manila time).
Miss Environment Philippines Michelle Arceo will also proudly wave the flag when she competes in the inaugural edition of Miss Environment International, which will take place in India from March 21 to April 2.
