Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 1)— More fans can now watch the PBA games live with the league set to allow a full capacity crowd due to eased COVID-19 restrictions.
In a statement, the PBA announced that the attendance for the ongoing Governor’s Cup will be back to 100% capacity starting Wednesday.
The decision came after the government placed Metro Manila and neighboring provinces under Alert Level 1 this month.
“Health and safety protocols imposed by the league will remain though, as fans will still be required to present their vaccination cards along with a valid government ID,” the PBA said.
The league previously imposed a 50% audience capacity when the capital region was still under Alert Level 2.
Wednesday’s match lineup will see the NorthPort Batang Pier go up against the Blackwater Bossing, and the Meralco Bolts squaring off with the Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots.
