PSE trading hours back to normal in March

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 23) — The Philippine Stock Exchange will return to its normal trading hours beginning March 1 as COVID-19 cases drop.

In a memorandum, PSE president and chief executive officer Ramon Monzon said the local bourse would revert to its full-day 5-hour trading schedule:

— 9 a.m. – pre-open

— 9:15 a.m. – pre-open no cancel

— 9:30 a.m. – market open

— 12 p.m. – market recess

— 1 p.m. – market resumption

— 2:45 p.m. – pre-close no cancel

— 2:50 p.m. – run off/trading at last

— 3 p.m. – market close

“The above schedule will be in effect until further notice,” Monzon added.

The PSE shortened trading hours last month amid the surge in new coronavirus infections driven by the highly contagious Omicron variant.

On Tuesday, the Health department reported 1,019 new cases — the country’s new lowest daily count this year.
