
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, February 12)— Heads up, pageant hopefuls!
The Miss World Organization has officially opened the application period for the 2022 pageant — with the coronation night set on May 29.
In a social media post, the organization said applicants must be between 17 and 26 years old and should stand at least 5’4″.
She should also be a Philippine passport holder, and has “never been married nor borne children.”
Aspiring queens should also possess a “pleasing personality, good moral character, grace, and poise,” it added.
Interested applicants can download the application form via the Miss World Philippines’ Facebook page.
The deadline for submitting entries is April 8, while the screening will start on April 19.
The Miss World 2021 pageant was moved to March this year in Puerto Rico due to COVID-related delays.
The country’s bet, Tracy Maureen Perez, a model and industrial engineer from Cebu City, hopes to bring home the country’s second Miss World crown after Megan Young’s victory in 2013.
