PH unemployment rate pushes 2021 tally to 3.7M

Authorities say there were 3.7 million jobless Filipinos in 2021. This is slightly lower than 4.5 million in 2020, but still a far cry from the 2.26 million recorded in pre-pandemic 2019. Officials expect the numbers could be worse for the first month of 2022.
