
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 31) — The province of Ifugao will downgrade to Alert Level 3 from February 1 until February 15, acting presidential spokesperson Karlo Nograles announced on Monday.
Ifugao was under the second to the highest alert level on Jan. 21 to 31.
Areas under Alert Level 3 have high and rising case counts, with bed and intensive care unit utilization rate also on the uptrend.
In addition, in-person classes, contact sports, amusement parks, live concerts, and casinos are prohibited, while indoor gathering are limited to 30% of capacity for fully vaccinated people only and 50% for outdoor venues.
Meanwhile, six other provinces in the Cordillera Administrative Region, and provinces from 15 other regions were also placed under the mid-level alert until Feb. 15.
Metro Manila and seven other provinces, on the other hand, will downgrade to Alert Level 2 of the 5-level alert system beginning Feb. 1.
