Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 26) — Under the COVID-19 alert level system, public and private establishments can bar the entry of people who are not wearing of face masks, acting Presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles said Friday.
“Doon sa mga hindi nagsusuot ng face mask or hindi kaya magsuot ng face mask kabilang na po dito iyong mga menor de edad ay mayroon po silang authority na hindi po papasukin sa kanilang establisyimento,” Nograles said in a briefing.
[Translation: They have the authority to prohibit people, including minors, who are not wearing face masks from entering their establishments.]
“LGUs (local governments) are mandated to ensure the implementation of the same,” he added.
President Rodrigo Duterte earlier approved the nationwide implementation of the alert level system.
