
Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 12) — Gym-goers and players of non-contact sports may now participate in group activities in areas under Alert Level 2, according to the latest resolution of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).
“[T]the recommendation to allow group activities for fitness studios, gyms, and venues for non-contact exercise and sports in areas under Alert Level 2 has been approved,” said the IATF on Friday.
Prior to the announcement, said establishments could only allow indoor individual activities for fully vaccinated persons and minors of any inoculation status to up to 50% of venue capacity. Individual activities then were allowed only up to 70% capacity outdoors regardless of vaccination status.
Metro Manila is currently under Alert Level 2 until Nov. 21.
Eased restrictions in the capital region will stay until Nov. 21. Under Alert Level 2, more establishments are allowed to operate at greater capacity.
