Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 1) — The government’s One Hospital Command Center (OHCC), which facilitates COVID-19 patient referral, has been receiving fewer calls lately, an official said Friday.

“Nagkaroon ng trend na bumaba to 200 to 300 calls a day,” OHCC medical officer Marylaine Padlan said in a Laging Handa briefing.

Most of the recent requests for hospital admissions came from Metro Manila, and Calabarzon, she added.

Padlan earlier said the command center was getting around 400 to 500 calls amid the huge spike in cases in August.

The medical officer assured the OHCC is ready in case calls will increase again.
