Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 30) — The country received another 391,950 doses of government-procured Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines Wednesday night.
Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez welcomed the fresh supply, which arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport past 9 p.m.
Regions 3 and 4 will be prioritized in the vaccines’ deployment, according to Galvez.
Galvez said 1.2 million doses from Moderna are also expected to arrive on Thursday.
For next month, some 15 million Pfizer doses and 5-7 million Moderna shots are expected, he added.
Meanwhile, Galvez said the vaccination of minors will be done in increments to ensure their safety.
“We are looking at the experience ng (of) other countries so that we will make sure it will be safe,” he noted.
