Students from kindergarten to Grade 3 and senior high school will be part of the pilot implementation of the in-person classes.
However, only those aged 12-17 are eligible to get vaccinated.
“Kakaunti lamang sila (senior high school) pero hindi po iyan pre-requisite para matuloy ang face-to-face classes,” Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said on Wednesday.
[Translation: There are only a few of them, but vaccination will not be a pre-requisite to push through with face-to-face classes.]
All teachers and school personnel joining the pilot run of the limited face-to-face classes need to be vaccinated against COVID-19, the Department of Education said.
