Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, September 22) — The country received another large shipment of COVD-19 vaccines made by US pharmaceutical firm Pfizer on Wednesday.

A plane carrying the bulk of the 940,680 vaccine doses procured by the government arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City Wednesday evening, state media reported.

From this batch, 811,980 shots will be sent to the Pharmaserv cold storage facility in Marikina City, while 128,700 doses have already been dropped off in Cebu.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez, Jr. earlier said that as of Sept. 20, the country has received almost 65 million vaccine doses. Out of the total, 9,586,270 were delivered from Sept. 13 to 19 alone, making it the largest weekly shipment since February, Galvez added.

Some 13 million doses of the more than 34 million doses from different brands expected to arrive within the month have arrived so far.
